I think, unfortunately, that most women can relate to Iris, who at the beginning of her marriage and seven years into it, never suspects her husband of being anything other than what he showed her, an honorable man. Kimberly Belle's story is partly a cautionary tale in a sense, warning us to be careful that we don't wear blinders. Very quickly we are cast into a world with Iris where pain and sorrow coincide, then quickly confusion as frazzled pieces of a mystery begin to show up. Kimberly Belle's writing is amazing, and it holds the reader in an empathetic embrace with Iris. The plot is so intricate and well thought out. I was impressed with the number of pieces involved in this puzzle, so cleverly interwoven and unsuspecting, and then the end. . .what a perfect and satisfying ending!
