Friday the 13th Part 3--the novel

Crafted respectfully and beautifully in honor of the film, Hawke's story delves a bit deeper into the characters, giving us interesting backstories, like Edna's, who we learn nothing about in the movie other than her husband annoys her. In the book, we get a much fuller picture of their relationship, which makes their interactions senseful.

And the bit about how Jason came into being is reasonably explained, and quite enticing!

Loco, the white thug in the liquor store, is surprisingly far more evil than depicted in the film.

A great homage for lovers of this franchise. Hawke's writing style is smooth, naturally flowing, and constantly entertaining.
