Yet another exciting mystery suspense!
This time, Hoh deals with PTSD, which is a rare feature of YA thrillers. She doesn't go so deep that readers might struggle to read the narrative, but enough that you feel even more for the main character.
This is a wild ride with Kit and her group of friends. After Kit's boyfriend drowns on a river trip she takes with him, she can't stop feeling guilty for surviving. But things get a whole lot worse when someone starts stalking her and tries to kill her a few times.
But her friends don't believe her. They think she just needs to get help for dealing with the trauma.
Boy, they couldn't be more wrong. Because her very life IS at stake. And there's one friend she shouldn't trust.
The guessing game hit me hard throughout. I had NO CLUE who it was. I never figured it out, and what a delightfully twisty surprise it was!
