This movie has a steady and fast heart pulse all the way through. Two sisters, Bree and Jonna, get trapped in an Olympic-sized pool when they both attempt to retrieve Bree's wedding ring that has gotten stuck in the vents. The owner is closing up, and unfortunately he does not see them at the bottom of the pool before he closes the fiberglass lid and leaves for the holiday weekend.
The hours spent trapped open up a lot of time for dialogue, for old wounds to be addressed, and for a crazy ex-convict-turned-janitor to blackmail them for all they have (their personal belongings in the poolside seating) instead of releasing them.
We are taken through several tense moments as the sisters experiment with many ways to break free. They must learn to overcome their personal conflicts while simultaneously trying to appease the demands of the janitor in order to increase their chances at survival.
The film captures the heartfelt nature of two sisters bonding and features a strong cast of female characters with a combination of suspense-filled confessionals.
