Killer Party

What an interesting film. . .I just discovered this 80's Canadian horror that delivers the unexpected!
Writing Quality: A strange start, but wait a few minutes to get past the absurd double opening for the main story to begin. The script isn't all that in terms of dialogue but it gets a bit fancy with some unexpected April Fools pranks and the supernatural elements.
Scare Factor: The supernatural element (a spirit seeking revenge) haunts a sorority party. There's the expected flashing lights and loud sounds, but honestly, I don't think anything can prepare you for the finale. Very frightening in its unraveling, and I will leave it at that.
Content (sex, language, & violence): One (almost) sex scene, but no nudity. The opening sequence shows a quick flash of a woman's bottom in skimpy underwear. A Jacuzzi scene near the beginning shows flashes of women's chests as they dash around outside.
Mostly minor language. Violence is short lived, sudden, and non-bloody.
Acting: Nothing fancy. The sorority friends are a lot of fun to watch as they play practical jokes.
Values: The bonds of friendship
Bonus: Elaine Wilkes (Caroline's friend Tracy in Sixteen Candles)
