Nightmare at the End of the Hall

Lifetime's thriller proves quite original and surprising.

Writing Quality: Excellent premise with unique outcomes. There is a strange connection between the main character ( a professor) and her new student that is gradually disclosed and blatantly point to the professor's past. The story line follows a logical path that invites a memorable bridge between the professor and her student who looks just like the professor's best friend who died of suicide years ago and at this very same school where they both attended. Characters are well developed and make judicious choices throughout. Plot points are strong and relationships are nicely fleshed out.

Scare Factor: A couple of startling moments having to deal with being haunted and a student who is seemingly possessed.

Content (sex, language, & violence): No sex or language. We see a woman hanging from a noose and another woman convulsing.

Acting: Really good. It's super easy to empathize with the MC as she continues to deal with an unexplained phenomena.

Values: Helping an emotionally struggling student. Uncovering the truth of the MC's best friend's suicide. Helping students do their best in English.

Bonuses: An incredibly surprising and satisfying twist! A happy ending.
