Break-In

This thriller delivers in two major ways: plot point surprises and the acting.
Stellar performances between all of the characters. Even the bad guys are intriguingly credible, unlike many other suspense-driven films where we get one-dimensional flat-type deliveries. The story is good, about a newlywed couple whose honeymoon is ruined by a break-in, and because the actors give it their all, you find yourself invested in every one of them.
The leading villain is Oscar-worthy. He never relents, his drive to get what he wants fueled by outstanding believability. He's not a bad guy there for shock value. And he's incredibly smart, another watchable trait that blends perfectly with his purpose.
One caveat: The ending is a bit muddled. In a short montage of clips, it's difficult to tell what has become of our main couple. Are these dreams, flashbacks, what-ifs, or realities?
