Unfortunately, this is a film that had little credibility to it. The final second of the film also reinforces Hollywood's cynicism.

Character Development: Only in Riley, the daughter, who deals with a twisted new friend. She goes from loner to somewhat popular to hating her dad to fighting for him. Rusty Joiner is a terrible actor. All he has going for him are his bulging muscles, as though he were doing a commercial for steroids. What's ridiculous is how he just sits in the truck when Kyla makes her first move and how he lets her take over him in the bedroom. He clearly doesn't like what's happening, but he doesn't say or do anything. As a teacher and father, this is not a believable trait, especially since he wants nothing romantic with anyone at the moment. When he suddenly 'wakes up', it feels like jumping conflict, so leading us through another dubious plot point.

Writing Quality/Pacing: Not credible. Sure, there are psychos, but after all that Kyla does, she would not just walk out of the hospital and not be charged with anything. That the school seductress, Tricia, gets blamed for Kyla's actions, especially after Kyla's history of lies, is unbelievable. Also, in a high school setting, no student would be allowed to wear a revealing top like Tricia does nor would it be appropriate for a teacher to take a student home.

Values: The father-daughter relationship is shown to be sacred, even more so after the affair.

Content (sex, language & violence): There are two scenes, one occurring in a truck where Kyla straddled the teacher and kisses him and one in the bedroom where she is in bra and panties and he is shirtless. Both scenes were unnecessary and added nothing to the point of the movie. One use of "bitch". The violence is shown at the end in two scenes, one is a quick slash of someone's neck and the other is self-inflicted.

Scare factor: The opening scene and the resolution are the only two places that resonate with a bit of scare, just not amped up enough. What's scary is how terrible the acting is for the two main leads, Kyla and the teacher.
