Convoluted Story

Unfortunately, Her Dark Past is a clumsy convoluted story with missing pieces.
This is a suspenseful mystery, but what remains a real mystery are these issues:
1.Did Alice really lose her memory? 2. Who is Alice? 3. What are her motives? Character Development/Writing Quality: Puzzling. No clear explanations for just about everything that happens.
Values: No. Loose relationships/open marriage. Dishonesty.
Content (sex, language & violence): Heavy making out, mild language, intense violence throughout, but mostly recurring shot from the onset of the film.
Scare Factor/Suspense: The gun to Alice's head at the beginning is frightening. A few flashbacks present similar impressions of mild terror.
The premise is intriguing, but as we move deeper into Alice's past and, consequently, into the present, none of it adds up. Relationships are left unexplained, the men in her life remain mysterious, timelines fuse, and her logic is never revealed.
