Writing Quality: Good. Convincing plot points, not contrived. Main actors play their roles effectively. There's a lot of mystery in this one as we aren't quite sure why the maid is out to get Laura. Like a good mystery thriller, bit by bit the clues come together in a conclusion that warns of the dangers of obsession and the inability to let go.
Scare Factor: The Maid's behavior is, as you would expect, scary, but only the audience sees her break down. . .until the end. Fay Masterson plays the part of the psycho in a realistic manner that has you praying for a smart protagonist. Thankfully, this movie has one.
Content (sex, language, & violence): No sex. A few curse words. Violence occurs near the end in one penultimate scene, but no effects shown, and nothing graphic.
Values & Themes: Uncovering the truth, obsession, revenge, delusion, deception
Saving Grace: Good acting by the main character (the MC from Paranormal Activity 4), but even better performances by the villain. And, best of all, we get a HEA.
