Writing Quality: A great script that employs an autistic child (a bit reminiscent of Danny in looks and behavior from The Shining). It is refreshing to see an autistic character reacting to scary moments. The family unit is wonderful to have in the foreground as they all fight against this monster together.

Scare Factor: There are a few jump scares, especially at the end. Larry is frightening to look at it. The flickering lights reminded me of Poltergeist. The idea of who Larry is proves interesting. Not sure how I feel about Oliver's response to him in the end.

Content (sex, language, & violence): no sex, the boys at one point say sh** several times in a row, violence is sudden, mostly involving poltergeist-like scenes with objects being thrown and Larry (the monster) snatching someone.

Acting: Good.

Values: Keeping the family together, honesty, protection

Bonuses: The unique plot tied into a children's story. CGI is very well done!
